By Rick Myers Turn Based Battles, Text Boxes, Anime-Styled Graphics, It's The Old School RPG Reborn in 3D For Gamers Young And Old!

Miss out on the Kickstarter fun? No worries, you can still show your support for Hero at, where you can pre-order/donate to the project, and find frequent updates and recent concept art, rendering, screen shots, and news.

You can also find frequent updates on the Updates section of this project page! Ktv karaoke system software. Notice: All backer tiers now come with early access to the demo and beta testing Hero is a 3D RPG for PC, Mac, and Linux based on the story and characters of an underground classic Japanese eroge/RPG called Monster Girl Quest. A short time ago, the idea came about to try to remake the old school RPG into something that gamers in today's high quality 3D gaming world would enjoy, but also keeping it to something that older RPG fans would also enjoy.

We wanted to stick to old school RPG basics for us older gamers, with the classic text boxes, turn based battles, and a kind of anime feel, but we wanted to make it 3D with realtime gameplay and industry standard visuals so that younger gamers could enjoy it as well. So we settled for a look and feel similar to Zelda64, but with up-to-date high quality graphics and controls. Then the question was what to do about a story, so we came up with the idea of remaking the Monster Girl Quest series into a mainstream 3D RPG videogame. We contacted the developers of Monster Girl Quest and got permission, and went from there.

As you can likely tell, the models used in the video are now out of date. After a reversal in fan feedback we have switched to more realistic models as seen in the above screenshots. The world in Hero isdifferent to ours. The world there is home to two races – humans, and monster girls. The monster girls prey on the humans, creating a divided society in which heroes kill the monster girls under the guidance of their goddess, Ilias.

Our hero (the player) is a young boy named Luka, who seeks to become the greatest hero and kill the Monster Lord, who is supposedly ordering all these attacks on humans. Along the way he is accompanied by the strange monster girl Alice, who seems to be hiding more than she lets on. While Luka goes around looking for aid from four of the elemental spirits, he finds out that the Monster Lord is in fact his travelling companion, Alice. He further learns that she didn’t order any attacks, and in fact most of the monster girls grew accustomed to attacking humans because it became the norm that humans would kill them if they didn’t. Luka starts to realize that humanity’s fanatical, religious worship of Ilias is a complete sham, since many of Ilias’ statements about monsters contradict each other, as if she had a deeper motive herself. Now it is up to Luka and Alice to show the world how everyone can live together peacefully, in a world so divided by prejudice that nobody wants to listen.

Quest

With dozens of different races of monsters, a free roam 3D environment, stunning 3D graphics, and intense turn based battles linked with real time 3D gameplay, Hero will draw you in and keep your attention. Combine that with the ability to choose the path the game follows by making choices through the game, leading to multiple endings and story twists, and you can play the game over and over without getting bored.

More information on Hero and a downloadable copy of the Hero Combat Prototype can be found. Stretch goals are what we plan to do if Hero receives more than the minimal $5,000, how we plan to spend the money to make Hero worth backing even after it's hit its goal. We plan to use every penny to help make it as good as we can, adding more content, more characters, improving existing content, hiring outsiders like professional texture artists and composers, anything we can do to make Hero better! $5,000 - Hero is completed, focusing solely on the story of Monster Girl Quest 2. Soundtrack will feature low cost royalty free pre-made tracks. $10,000 - Hero will focus on all of Monster Girl Quest 2 and select key elements of MGQ 1.

Soundtrack will feature higher quality royalty free pre-made tracks. More new characters and monster races will be added.

$20,000 - Hero will focus on the complete stories of MGQ 1 and 2, soundtrack professionally composed, a lot of new content, graphics quality will start to increase. Limited character customizations, equipment and talent point systems added. $50,000 - Soundtrack composed by higher reputation composer, tons of new content, new characters, new races, more choice options and dialogues, graphics quality drastically enhanced. Complete character customizations, full equipment and talent point system in place. $50,000 - Possibility of a console port (Xbox 360 / PS3), release date possibly moved up, and to be honest, just any little thing I can do to make the game better and get it to you sooner. At this point, we've gone about as far as we can go on hopes and dreams, and we've come a long ways in a very short time, but we've reached the end of our resources and now we need your help. If you've played the Hero Combat Prototype you've already seen how a lack of resources is beginning to choke the project.

Animations are sub-par, sound effects and music are sketchy, etc. So far we've invested about seven thousand dollars of our own life savings into this game, the problem is that we only had seven thousand to invest. We need additional funding for leasing time in a motion capture studio, for higher quality music and sound effects, and lots of other little things. We've done the math and knocked out everything we could until we drove the bottom line to only needing an additional five thousand to finish this awesome game, but if we can get more than that it will only make the game better and better. And as a personal thank you for helping us finish the game, we've put together some fantastic rewards! Kickstarter Exclusive Collector's Edition - This boxed set is only available to Kickstarter backers.

After the close of this campaign, this package will never be available again. It includes everything we have to offer with a personalized touch, including a physical copy of Hero, with instruction booklet and Angel Halo add-on, a soft cover copy of the Hero Player's Guide, a physical copy of the Hero Soundtrack, a T-Shirt printed in your choice of Alice or one the Four Heavenly Knights, and a personal thank you letter, all wrapped up in a limited edition autographed box. Plus you also get your name in the credits and a non-playable character (NPC) in the game created to resemble you.

Monster Quest Game

Hello ladies and gentlemen to my easter egg special! This time, it's an Alpha game! It's still pretty new, so don't bash it too much. The person who made it takes their time but they want to make it into a full-fledged game. So, y'know, share some love and support him. Their patreon page: HDG updates pretty often.

It's worth checking it out. (He doesn't have 'prices' but you can donate as low as 1$ to support him. I guess it couldn't hurt.right?) If you want to test out the game and see it for yourself, see the link down below. The game is about 13.3mb.

You guys should really try it though. It's quite fun even though it's in alpha! Anyway, this alpha game is called 'Monster Girl Quest 3D' despite being a mod for Doom. But eh, I guess it's a better update than that 'Hero' game. In overall, the game is pretty easy. You just have to be careful when you get hit, retreat when you can and hit and run a few times.

If you get overwhelmed you get to use skills. Thunder Thrust is the best-preferred skill. It has quite a long range and it's the best skill for taking out groups of enemies. (LoL.) I know I didn't show it here, but there's also H-Scenes in this game.

1 animation for each monster girl, so 5 animations in total. (Despite the Slime Girl being the only one with the climax.) So, if you want to see those animations, either look for it on the Youtube or request it for my PH channel. (It's still pretty amazing how recording 17 mins of this game took me 10 gb on my hard drive. Yet when I record hours on ng+, it barely takes 3gb.) So, that's it for Easter! At first, I didn't think too much about it, since I don't really do holiday specials. I guess Easter counts for something.

Hero Quest Online

So, here it is. Hope you guys enjoy the video & have a happy easter! HDG, if you're reading this, then please tell me if I can monetize this video? I won't monetize it until you'll allow me to do it. So, thanks if you decide to reply! Credits: ToroToro for making MGQ. HDoomGuy (HDG) for making MGQ 3D.
