Quicken 2017 has a 3 Year download expiration so it is good for downloads/online until 2020. If you have Quicken 2015 it 'expires' in 2018; Quicken 2016 'expires in 2019 and Quicken 2017 will expire in 2020. Compare to Quicken 2017 with an expiration date in 2018 and a cost of $49.99 list. I didn't like the 2009 and 2012, thus still using 2006 as I prefer manual inputs. There is no expiration date on that version. I'll be doing the same when Quicken 2016 expires. I have 'upgraded' every three years since Intuit introduced their crummy sunset policy. Each 'upgrade' has been a step backwards in terms of features, usability and stability. I don't see Quicken's new owners being around for long when the subscription model kicks in.

Right and it still seems like a dumb idea. Same with allowing say FB to track you all over the web by using their logon for other websites.

Or allowing some startup-app company to have all account numbers and logon info for all your credit cards. Keeping accounts separate and discreet seems less risky for me. But then I do share my information with Quicken, so I can download transactions. But now that Quicken has been brought by a private-equity company and is no longer part of a company with a history (Intuit), I am wondering what my security exposure with Quicken is now.

However, he did mention a couple of months before it happened that he was dealing with 'personal family issues'. So to make a long story short.

I gave up trying to contact him. I was only a moderator of the forums so I do not have access to any registration generation. I only notified him when someone needed it. But since I can't contact him any more.
