Reeva Webb If you actually purchased the tts and you have a data connection this shouldn't be happening. If you have the crack version you're outta luck. If it's the former you need to contact cf. Have you tried rebooting the phone? Switching to another tts then back to eloquence? Double checked if you have a data connection and airplane mode is off?

Well a car has a license plate on the back of it usually. This gives them the license to drive the car on the road. As long as the car is licensed at least in the united states then the person can drive. But the license is attached to the car itself. Now imagine there's big metal pins behind the license plate. Everyone knows they are there but you can't get to them.
Now in another senario maybe some parallel universe reality thing so anyway we now got metal pins behind the license plate. The car's license is on the car.
At the same time its tied to the internet and to a separate company that holds the car's license. Once a month or so they remotely check to see if your car is licensed. But lets say you are on vacation and you have no car internet. They can't check. You're on vacation in the mountains or at the beach and ocean for example. So they try to check and they can't. And there's a one month or 30 day timer in your car.
So the timer goes off when you're on vacation. Pins pop out kicking the license plate off of your car and it just hangs there hanging down by a piece of metal. Now its time to leave from your vacation so you get in your car try starting it. It starts up. You hit the gas your car takes off and then. A light flashes on the dash stating your car is not licensed and until the company who holds the license comes out to relicense it or you can get your car towed to where there is internet you cannot drive it.
The point of this is that software licensing should work like car licenses. The license should be tied to you. Just like people don't share car license plates therefore we should be trusted to not share software licenses. If car licenses worked like current software licenses we'd have lots of angry sighted folks out there. But yet we as blind folks just sit back passively and take what is handed to us? Again don't get rid of licenses but rather change how they are implemented to make them more user friendly. Tie them to the device and so they do not depend on phoning home.
