Nov 21, 2014 - Don't worry, it's was the first thing that popped into my head too, at least until recently when I learnt about another platform called Roblox. Being on a South African line, I experienced lag, but the game was certainly playable. Read Nintendo Switch will get its paid online service in September.

You are obviously a Roblox fanboy. If the evidence that Roblox is using one of Minecraft's icons isn't staring you in the face already, then let me break this down for you: In the ad, Steve, whom is an icon of Minecraft created by Mojang, is appearing in an ad for Roblox. He should not be appearing in this ad, as this was an official ad for Roblox, not a fan-created ad that you might find on the actual Roblox website. Therefore, they are stealing from Mojang. Before complaining about something actually research it. In Roblox players can make there own ads for their place (server) meaning it is not legally a legit advertisement thefore the player has his rights to use Minecraft in the ad. If It was an ACTUAL legit ad with Minecraft in it then I don`t think roblox would have ran the ad but if they did the Minecraft pic in the ad was just a knockoff of a game on roblox. What I mean is there is literally a couple of games on Roblox that are 'Minecraft' (Yes it is possible to make minecraft because you are able to code in roblox and make everything your self). Why would roblox want to put Minecraft in their ads? Well first of all the staff of roblox are aware of the game minecraft and like know about it so they'd know that blablablah that the Roblox game is 50% copied but they have the rights to use it as it was made in Roblox, plus those Minecraft games on roblox do give credit. I may have been slightly bias since I'm more roblox over minecraft but you can tell pretty much what parts I was exagerating.
Well roblox was attempted to be sued by lego (which is worth millions) because back in 2008 and below roblox had circle studs (those things on lego bricks that connect parts) and well it was copied from lego so they changed the stud texture and make them square, if lego couldn't sue Roblox then neither could Mojang. I don't think you get the point! Maybe it isn't the roblox staff doing this, maybe roblox players advertising their worlds or whatever. But still, does it say anything about the minecraft pics on the ads?
Like does its mention that the scene is minecraft? And that means that if someone new to roblox will think that that is roblox, then Roblox would be totally using minecraft to advertise their game. ROBLOX has no interest in copying Minecraft. The ad didn't even have a hint of ROBLOX in it. It was obviously produced by someone outside of ROBLOX corporation to either dirty ROBLOX's name, or to promote it. If you think about it anyways, ROBLOX is nothing like Minecraft. 1) Minecraft itself is copyright of Mojang, however using Steve and scenes from Minecraft does not fall under copyright (I think). 2) Roblox came out in 2005. Minecraft came out in 2009. Roblox is not a copy of Minecraft. Since 2009, it has been heavily influenced by Minecraft, however it is not a copy. First, they aren't even controlling their ads. They see on their board: 《Oh, blablabla ad is clicked 3 times! Let's publicly release it!》This is downright ridiculous.

As a well known community member of Roblox, and one of the few remaining decent people on the website, a lot of these misconceptions aren't true. To what I've researched, these advertisements are not being ran by Roblox.
Its being ran by some kid who's intention is to generate criticism for Roblox. And as far as I see, it is working well (STARES AT THIS POST) Roblox isn't running advertisements anymore as far as I know.
They ended their ambassador program awhile ago. Also, they aren't bankrupt.
I'm getting paid about $500 a month through their Developer Exchange program, and plenty of others are getting paid as well. They are not evil people. The roblox community is not what you people seem to bias about it. I've talked to the people behind it, and they are really nice people. Yes, they have made mistakes in the past, but the game has been changing a lot for the better recently.
We have been getting more support, and they have been taking down the 'bait and switch/low quality games' on the front page. They have also been listening to the community and we have received so much over the past few months. If anyone cares to argue with me, be my guest.
